Located in Bear, Delaware, AWSM Solutions serves a variety of industries including surfactants, industrial and institutional cleaners, transportation cleaners, marine products, and herbicides.
Position Summary The Chemical Operator is responsible for mixing and packaging of various liquid and solid raw materials to produce a high quality finished product that is ready for shipment to the customer.
This position is also responsible for the achievement of production, safety, and quality goals as outlined by their supervisor.
Work hours for this position may be dependent upon operational need.
We operate on a 4 day/10 hours per day work week.
Essential Functions Operate various manufacturing equipment such as blend tanks, pumps, filters, heaters, liquid fillers, and sealing equipment.
Follow mix ticket instructions to accurately weigh and add raw materials to batches.
Follow instructions on fill tickets when packaging product.
Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products, completing all finished good quality checks as required on batch ticket.
Assist with shipping and receiving including following DOT/IATA procedures and completion of documentation.
Handles non-hazardous materials.
Perform in process sampling and analytical testing and proper housekeeping of the laboratory space and equipment.
Assist in training lower level operators in routine tasks such as proper storage and labeling of raw materials and finished goods, manufacturing procedures, and operation of manufacturing equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications High School diploma or G.

equivalent 2 years manufacturing experience Valid forklift license Ability to perform basic math calculations Ability to lift 50 pounds Demonstrate attention-to-detail, problem solving, and ability to multi-task Effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as basic computer proficiency Preferred Qualifications Experience in the chemical, pharma, or engineered materials processing industries.
