The Service Manager provides effective guidance to and control of the truck service operation to include field service. This includes planning and organizing an effective, efficient work force, promoting excellent customer service relations, and providing for projected sales volume that profitably grows the truck shop service business in the Delaware Region.
Manage truck shop and field service operations and ensure profitability.
Oversee work group and ensure work is performed with company goals in mind.
Deal with customers, determine action needed, prioritize and implement correct actions.
Develop a customer centric mentality to resolve customer complaints, disputes and detractor/passive scores on surveys.
Provide personnel and operations feedback to Regional Manager for decision making.
Work with Regional Manager, Sales Managers, and Bear team to capture service work and grow the business.
Nurture and maintain the highest levels of customer engagement.
Nurture and maintain the highest levels of employee engagement.
Control expenditures to budget; monitor financial reports and required profit for total branch
Resolve customer complaints by taking prompt and appropriate action to maintain excellent customer relations; encourage associates to be fair, courteous, honest and appreciative of our customers' business
Ensure productive scheduling and dispatching of all service technicians to perform daily work.
Promote communication, collaboration, cooperation and cross selling
Develop solid working relationships with our customers, branch personnel, profit centers and departments within the Ransome organization
Work with corporate Risk and Safety manager to ensure the workplace is safe and environmentally compliant
Other duties as required
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in managing a full service diesel truck shop (dealership preferred)
Excellent people management skills
Advanced computer skills
The equivalent of mechanical repair experience (or basic mechanical knowledge.)
Negotiating ability and understanding of options available to resolve customer issues
Basic product knowledge and systems understanding
General knowledge of business and corporate approaches to doing business with customers
Basic mechanical aptitude of machine systems
High School Education, plus technical college and/or 4 year degree (preferred)
Clean driving record

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
