Greet all patients in a pleasant manner on arrival.
Answer telephone within three rings using a pleasant voice.
Using the company practice management system, enter a patient history, history of present illness, review of systems, visual acuity and any other medically relevant information in the correct areas.
Triage patient calls for doctors.
Conduct medical test using the appropriate equipment correctly and accurately, including but not limited to, auto refractor, Optomap, visual fields, OCT, HRT and NCT.
Know the reason for a visit and all visit types.
Assist lead technician in maintaining good patient flow.
Enter close and/or respond to Employee Messages in the company practice management system.
Schedule appointments for patents with other medical offices.
Communicate with other medical offices about patient's previous medical history.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
