Summary/Objective:
Rogers Corporation is seeking an Intern to support day to day engineering improvement and projects. Participates in and potentially takes ownership for both systems and process related projects as assigned by Engineering Manager. Assists engineers with development and facilities improvement projects as required. Must be a strong communicator with an ability to generate and modify procedures, conduct training, and give presentations.
Essential Functions:
Contribute to cost savings initiatives in manufacturing. Lead one short term project.
Contribute to process optimization and streamlining initiatives.
Learn and investigate current manufacturing process. Assist in troubleshooting efforts.
Contribute to safety related projects and investigations

Required Education and Experience:
A student who has completed their sophomore year toward a BS degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. Moderate to advanced knowledge with computers. Due to ITAR regulations must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Knowledge of Six Sigma and Minitab is preferred. Manufacturing experience would be a plus. Completion of junior year toward a BS degree is preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
